We realize the value of internet fireams purchases – whether modern production guns at “can’t beat” prices or historic collectors pieces that present themselves at auction. Therefore, we will gladly serve as a transfer agent for South Carolina residents wishing to “transfer-in” such a purchase. Our transfer fee is only $25.00.
We currently offer this service free-of-charge for active-duty military stationed in SC (must provide Military I.D.). It’s the least we can provide for our military servicemen and women as a “Thank You!”
HOW THE TRANSFER PROCESS WORKS
1. Verify that the desired firearm is legal in SC: http://www.atf.gov/publications/firearms/state-laws/29th edition/index.html
2. Purchase the firearm(s) and pay any applicable shipping charges through the out-of-state vendor.
3. Provide us with:
a. Your contact information
b. Description of the firearm(s) purchased
c. Auction or other i.d./confirmation/order number
d. Vendor’s contact information including phone, fax and email
4. We will send a copy of our Federal Fireams License to the vendor. Once received, they will ship the

You fill out BATFE Form 4473 (http://www.atf.gov/applications/e4473/) and we will submit the information to the FBI’s National Instant Criminal Background System (NICS): http://www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/nics. Your firearm will be transferred to you when we receive a “Proceed” response by the FBI at which time the transfer fee will be payable.
